The barn is perfectly located for easy reach to the coast and is nestled in the beautiful Nort York Moors National Park that you experience the best of as you drive to this secluded location.

We will be back to enjoy this venue again.

  Susan was an exceptional host, discrete , but on hand and helpful if needed. The Converted barn was comfortable and there was everything you needed for a short stay.

So handy for all the great places to visit: Scarborough, Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay. It was immaculate and beautiful inside the cottage and we slept so well. All the basics in the kitchen for what you'd need. We did cook one evening and this was so helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sue's place and I wouldn't hesitate to come back here again. The traditional barn is stunning and the location simply idyllic. The garden space by the Barn was great and the huge field behind the barn was fantastic to tire out the children and dog!

A super base close to so many activities such as North Yorkshire water park and the many walks and beaches of the area.

I would highly recommend Sue’s barn and would definitely hope to return some time

  An absolute gem - beautiful and peaceful location but within easy reach of amenities. The barn was cosy and we stocked with essentials. Incredibly dog friendly!

Plenty of space inside, even more space in the two bedrooms. ... read more There was a lovely garden with patio, plus a big field to walk the dogs. However, there were also loads of walks and running paths straight out the door.
The barn was spotlessly clean & very comfortable for those with or without dogs . Sue left dog towels and throws and spare dog bowl etc. The kitchen was well equipped with all the basics needed; comfy sofas and a large TV.
Sue left a file with the barn info, a map of the local area, plus lots of ideas regarding beaches, local attractions and cafes/restaurants. We went to The Plough in Scalby - really good food, friendly atmosphere and busy with drinkers, diners and people staying. Dog friendly and very nice staff.
Sue communicated all the necessary info before our stay including very detailed directions. She was friendly and helpful but gave us our space. Would definitely recommend!
